What age group is the pony club for?
Our pony club is designed for children aged 4 and up. We offer lessons for all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced riders.
Do children need prior riding experience to join?
No prior riding experience is necessary! We welcome beginners and will guide your child every step of the way. Our experienced team is here to help them feel comfortable and confident around the ponies.
How long are the riding lessons?
Our lessons typically last around 30 minutes riding time, depending on the age and experience level of the rider. We aim to keep lessons fun, engaging, and educational for the kids.
What should my child wear for riding lessons?
Children should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. We recommend wearing long pants, a jacket, and sturdy shoes(boots that cover toes and ankles preferably with a small heel). We provide riding helmets, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred.
Are the Connemara ponies safe for children?
Yes! OurConnemara poniesare known for their gentle and friendly nature, making them perfect companions for young riders. They are well-trained and experienced in working with children.
How do I sign my child up for lessons?

How do I book a trial lesson?
We offer trial lessons for new riders! Simply contact us through our website or give us a call to schedule your child’s first lesson.
Do you offer group lessons or private lessons?
We offer both! Group lessons are a great way for children to learn alongside their peers, while private lessons allow for more personalized attention.
Is there a waiting list for lessons?
We try to accommodate all our riders, but during busy periods, we may have a waiting list. Please contact us to inquire about availability.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather is unsafe for riding, we will contact you in advance to reschedule the lesson. Your child’s safety is our top priority.
Can my child help care for the ponies?
Yes! We offer opportunities for children to learn about pony care, including grooming, feeding, and tacking up. It’s a great way for them to form a deeper bond with the ponies. Contact us for more information.
